Covid and horseshoes.

Posted on 27th September, 2020

Despite Covid I'm still working and painting and posting horseshoes, so if you have anything you'd like creating for yourself or as a gift please do get in touch. If you don't quite know what you'd like then we can work on it together, just email me in the first instance.

Off to Shetland.

Posted on 4th June, 2019

I've been asked to paint a horseshoe as a gift for a couple that are moving to Shetland. The shoe has a flower design, one of red poppies and blue harebells with buds of the same on the outside edges. I hope the shoe looks really well in their new home :)

Green and red for a special wedding.

Posted on 29th May, 2019

I've just created my first green and red wedding shoe for a wedding that took place yesterday. I wish the bride and groom every happiness for their future. Next on the list of creations is a shoe for someone moving house, requests are also coming in - one as a reminder of a long lost equine pal. Keep looking back to the gallery page for what's new :)

Wedding time again and late orders.

Posted on 30th March, 2018

Spring is just around the corner and orders for wedding shoes are coming in.

I've added a note on my payment page about late orders - it may be possible to do them but at additional cost so please do ask. The problem is that the paint on the horseshoes has to dry before I can apply the next layer and each coat of paint and varnish can take up to 24 hours before the next layer or decoration can be applied. If there's time I'll do it for you but it is best if you can allow 28 days for it all to be done and posted off. The more time I have the better. That said I have just turned a shoe around in 10 days and the Post Office managed to get it there on time. Phew it was a close thing though.

Shoes away.

Posted on 30th November, 2017

I've just completed an order for a lovely dreamcatcher shoe and sent another as a gift for a couple that live in the USA. It's amazing to see where my shoes end up.

Commissions - all go.

Posted on 18th July, 2016

I've been doing quite a lot of commissions this year, so much so that I've decided to for-go my usual slot at Tea in the Park at Glenlivet hall in August. Don't worry though, I'm still painting and designing, so if you need something as a gift for any occassion please do get in touch and I'll make something special for you :)

Come and see the horseshoes.

Posted on 29th May, 2016

I'll be at Archiestown village fete on the 18th June from 1pm, it should be a good day. There will be horseshoes on display as well as for sale and I can also take special orders while I'm there. I'll just have returned from Appleby Horse Fair too so if you'd like to chat about the inspiration for my designs then I'm more than happy to tell you what I've seen whilst at the Fair - a lot of my ideas come from Romany art and Appleby's just the place to see it all close up :)

It's been a busy time at home recently and with a few horseshoes sold over the last few days I'm looking at painting some more to go on the gallery. Favourite are the black more traditional type shoes so there's sure to be some of those. Keep popping back to have a look what's new :)

Valentine's Day on the horizon.

Posted on 4th January, 2016

Christmas and New Year are hardly past yet Valentine's Day is on the cards - sorry about the pun :) If you'd like to order a special horseshoe for your Valentine then let me know in good time - email to discuss your ideas and I can get on with the design and painting.

Christmas is coming.

Posted on 2nd November, 2015

Christmas is coming - I've just done a Christmas craft fair recently, so if you fancy ordering a shoe for someone special this Christmas let me know. I can design a shoe especially for you or a loved one, names and dates can be added and a hanging thread too. If you want a bit of bling I can add beads to the nail holes, they look great :)
